Hi! I'm Daniel. I'm a commercial and editorial photographer from Seattle, Washington. I specialize in outdoor adventure lifestyle, product, and portrait photography.

I create images to inspire folks to get outside, seek adventure, and connect with wild places. Capturing real moments on real misadventures got me hooked. Now I bring the studio on location and the outdoors into the studio, treating the production process as a team sport and thriving when problem-solving in creative collaboration.

My work has been featured by REI, Outside Magazine, the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, The Wall Street Journal, Therm-a-Rest, MSR, evo, Fly Fisherman Magazine, The Flyfish Journal, and the Fly Fishing Film Tour, among others.

When I'm not playing with light, you might catch me backcountry skiing, river running, mountain biking, or looking for my Creedence tapes in a van down by the river.

I am the Studio Manager at evo's media studio. In my work, I have been most grateful for opportunities to collaborate with inspiring partners, teammates, and friends to realize creative visions and create gorgeous images.

I have also been employed in photography at REI's media studio, Cascade DesignsSeattle Met Magazine, and Harper Studios

I have worked on films with Waist Deep Media, and Rogel Media/Out There Films as a producer, cinematographer, sound recordist, and editor.

I studied Commercial Photography at Seattle Central Creative Academy. I also studied photography at the University of Washington Continuum College, where I am on the advisory board for the Certificate in Photography program.

I graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in International Relations and Global Business. I am a former management consultant and business intelligence developer.

I volunteer with Big City MountaineersWashington Trails Association, and Olympic National Park.
